E.R. Cornish was founded by Eric Roysten Cornish, an electrical engineer in 1938. In June/July of 1958 the company was registered as a proprietry limited and was incorporated. Principally involved in the distribution of electrical engineering supplies and components E.R. Cornish Pty Ltd was one of the first companies in Australia to become involved with heat shrinkable tubing which was used as a new way of electrical insulation. It was this involvement in the heat shrink industry that led in 1966 to the marketing of shrink pallet bags and films and thus began a long association with the packaging industries that continues to this day. Whilst the electrical engineering side of the business has diminished over the years our involvement in the packaging industry has continued to grow. In 1992 the name E.R.C. Packaging was introduced to better reflect the expansion of the company in this field. With our extensive list of suppliers both locally and overseas we are well placed to assist small and large companies alike with their packing requirements in both machinery and consumables. Whilst our general field is packaging that involves plastics we can also source and supply other packaging systems and supplies.
