Aspera AS5 brings a new experience to the $99 price point with a range of features you would expect to see in smartphones with a higher price tag.
Snappy performance is delivered by the combination of a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor and clever use of virtual RAM, allocated from unused ROM. The installed 2GB RAM can be effectively boosted to 3GB RAM which helps applications launch faster and run faster. The result is a surprisingly strong performance for an entry level smartphone.
Face recognition is rarely seen on budget smartphones but with 5MP cameras front and rear we introduce it for the first time at this price point. Add in 32GB ROM (expandable memory with SD card), wi-fi hotspot, voice over LTE, voice over wi-fi, full HD video recording and you have a long list of features.
You can even use 2 different 4G sim cards in the AS5, great for travelling overseas and picking up a local sim card, or just having 2 different phone numbers for friends and family.Aspera AS5 brings a new experience to the $99 price point with a range of features you would expect to see in smartphones with a higher price tag.
